Financial Funding Officer

Job Description

Financial Funding Officer, 12-month fixed term contract, working 37 hours per week based just outside the iconic city of Bath. Salary offered at £22800 plus access to some great employee benefits and the ability to work in a hybrid work/office schedule. Working in mainstream education, you will work with the wider Finance and Funding Teams, reporting to the Funding Team Leader with key responsibilities for the administration of new student scholarships, studentships, fee waivers, funding streams in accordance with regulated procedures and policies.

You will support the student funding programme, working closely with key stakeholders across Finance, Schools, Colleges and Professional Services to ensure appropriate service levels are agreed and achieved. As a Financial Funding Officer, you will assist with the creation and maintenance of accurate records of student applications, awards, payments and withdrawals for all funding schemes. There is a consistent need to provide high standards of administration, database management, excel creation and reporting plus extensive telephone and email communication. You will naturally have advanced working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel Access and SharePoint.

As the role is divided equally between finance and administration, a good understanding of general accounting skills, sales and month end ledger management, combined with excellent customer service skills there is a requirement to have previous, relevant experience in both skill sets. Each and every application must be managed in line with strict governance and policy, especially when maintaining GDPR practices and specific funding guidelines, therefore the need to work accurately and methodically with clear process management ability is key to the success of this role.
