Quality Technician

Job Description

We are recruiting a Quality Technician, for an Immediate start!

Location: West Swindon

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Between £22,000-£28,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Hours/Days of work: 08:00-16:45 (Monday-Friday) & 08:00-12:30 (Friday)

Duties:

  • Support Quality Inspection at every production stage including Goods In inspection and Final inspection using microscope.
  • Reporting to the Quality Manager to maintain quality requirements in line with ISO9001.
  • Monitor production quality performance and initiate improvements.
  • Identify and control of non-conforming products.
  • Report non-conformity and support Route Cause Analysis.
  • Report preparation.
  • Collect quality data.
  • Support auditing activities (internal and external).
  • Comply with company procedures and H&S policies.
  • Interface with customer and supplier representatives, when required, to support the mitigation of quality issues.
  • Ensure traceability of all manufactured and tested parts.
  • Support development and maintenance of quality systems.
  • Control returned material from customers (RMA) as per company's procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Previous QA experience.
  • High-level of visual awareness.
  • Advanced organisational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Dexterity in handling devices.
  • Be a self-starter, taking the initiative to do the right thing.
  • Eager to continuously learn and improve.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of the team.
  • Effective communicator.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access).
