Technical Product Engineer, permanent full time career opportunity for a Degree Educated (Mechanical or Science related) Engineer who is looking for a new and challenging position based in Swindon. Offered with an annual salary up to £35,000, an end of year performance bonus, plus exceptional employee benefits package, this role is working in a small product design, process and technical support team, where your key responsibilities with include the response to all technical specifications and driving through solutions for new and existing clients.

The position of Technical Product Engineer is based on a hybrid working pattern with 2 days working at home and 3 days spent in the office, perhaps on a client site meeting supported by the Product Design Engineer and attending events and functions.

This global manufacturing client seeks a Technical Product Engineer who enjoys working in the world of Engineering, who has rounded technical engineering 'know how' plus the ability and willingness to learn all about new products, whilst delivering new and innovative technical manufacturing options for a diverse range of UK clients.

The main duties will include supporting the loading of all product types onto an Oracle database, assisting the Product Manager with quotations and pricing structures, helping to support bid/tender/pricing decisions plus full product range analysis and product development. Working alongside the Product Manager, the Marketing Manager, Sales and Finance teams, Business Units and Customer Services will ensure that you have the full support of the wider company.

As a Technical Product Engineer, you will possess an excellent work ethic and be able to respond quickly to client enquiries as they arise, both verbally and written. You will have a solid understanding of scientific and engineering principals, ideally educated to Degree Level (n Engineering or Scientifics) or equivalent, with the ability to understand fundamental problems, offering solutions and outcomes for the client and the business. Naturally, you will have Excellent organisational skills, solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate information at all levels in the business. A good working knowledge of MS Office package (Word, Excel and Access) is essential with previous engineering or technical product sales a distinct advantage.
