Assistant Site Facilities Manager permanent career opportunity, to join the team as a full-time employee within the Swindon area. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in a similar environment, maybe gained within education, social care/care home and/or office facilities, with the necessary skills and facilities employment experience to perform the required tasks effectively with a professional and approachable personality.

You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks related to the maintenance of this busy educational facility. This includes routine site and facilities maintenance, carrying out minor repairs, ensuring site security and necessary security systems are maintained and working effectively. Responsible for all general site cleanliness, including grounds, public throughways, toilets, and classrooms, plus additional ad-hoc duties. You will work collaboratively as part of the site management team, having extensive communication with senior teaching staff, reporting on works carried out plus providing an overview on all activities. We would expect you to make decisions professionally using your skills and experience.

As Assistant Site Facilities Manager, your duties will include completing tasks related to carpentry, basic electrical maintenance, general site cleanliness, site security, and basic grounds maintenance. The job is interesting and varied, having the confidence and ability to meet the demands of this role to the highest standard. You may have professional certification in a general maintenance skill, looking to utilise and maintain skills from your previous facilities experience. This role is best suited to someone with a patient, flexible, and sociable nature, with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
