Technical Engineer (Temporary Works Preparation) required on a permanent, full-time basis here in Wiltshire. The role is office based and best suited to a Chartered Engineer who can evidence 5 years+ civil engineering experience, perhaps working on a temporary works design placement. This vacancy offers a highly competitive annual salary offered between £45k - £60k, car allowance, enhanced pension, health care scheme and extended holiday entitlement.

This opportunity will allow active involvement and progression into formal contracts and tendering for new work orders, using your proven administration and organisational skills. Educated to Degree Level Civil and Construction Engineering (or similar) you will be joining a global civil infrastructure client who is well-established in heavy civils works, culverts and bridges, therefore a generic civil engineering background is required when applying for this position.

As Technical Engineer, you will work alongside the design and preparation teams, looking to tender for new business, assessing viability and invoice streams. You may have a good understanding of pricing and raw material purchasing, working with contractors and flexible labour teams, providing real life quotations for works worth more than £100 million. There is a need to visit client sites pre and post construction, ensuring that the project life cycle is meeting the client KPI's and budgetary requirements, undertaking technical and feasibility studies including full site investigations.

You will undertake complex projects and subsequent calculations, liaising with clients, architects, and sub-contractors. supervising tendering submissions and relevant procedures. Naturally you will, possess a range of engineering skills advanced working knowledge of MS Office and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
