Job Description

CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer, permanent full-time position based in Swindon. Working for a well-established precision engineering employer who is seeking an experienced CNC Setter who can demonstrate 3-5 years previous, relevant CNC experience. Based on a 37.5-hour week, across 4 days a week, your manufacturing skills will be utilised in the aerospace, defence, and power generation sectors. Your annual salary is based on experience, therefore the range of £28,000 - £30,000 plus excellent employee benefits.

Working with a variety of metals and materials, this position will need your CNC Lathe setting and operating skills, creating, and reading programs for specific customer requirements along with changing offsets. You will be operating a wide range of measurement devices, working with manufacturing procedures and using your machining techniques. As a CNC Operator, you will be able to perform complex machining processes, including prototype production, working with customer drawings. If you have experience of operating FANUC or Heidenhain CNC machines, that would be an advantage.

As a CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer, you will have a solid understanding of manufacturing inspection, perhaps with FAIRS (First Article Inspection Reporting) and able to use CMM machines as and when required. The ability to flag manufacturing issues and any non-conformity's with line management is key, having a good understanding of varied metals and materials, an idea of cost and quality with exceptional levels of Health and Safety manufacturing awareness.
