Construction Sector Business Development Manager, permanent, salaried career opportunity for an experienced BDM who can evidence a strong and successful track record in construction sales. We are seeking a professional and established BDM who can identify, win and secure new business plus ensure that existing key clients are well maintained with consistent communication. This is a national, UK wide BDM role, with a local office in Wiltshire, therefore there is a need to visit clients supported by the Bid working team.

Naturally you will have a sound knowledge of the Civil Engineering/Construction sector, perhaps having attained higher level education in the Construction sector. Offered with a salary range between £50,000 - £65,000 plus bonus scheme and excellent employee benefits this permanent role requires you to target business as listed in the wider business plan, looking to create a pipeline for immediate and future business opportunities.

Responsible for attending key stakeholder meetings, producing regular sales updates and preparing presentations on new and existing client activity, you will be responsible for producing minutes of meetings, maintaining industry/competitor intelligence and sharing all good news stories with the wider stakeholders and bids team. As Construction Sector Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the completion of all initial bids documentation, supporting the preparation of Expression of Interest submissions, the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires and attend all tender/contract award/review meetings.

Working in collaboration with the Communication, Bids, Procurement and Engineering Teams will ensure that everyone key to the business is involved throughout the process. Working closely with the clients to ensure that financial and operational objectives are met will continue to play a key role in this position, therefore someone who is well organised with excellent levels of business acumen is essential.
