Thrive Group are recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver on a temporary to permanent assignment, with a view to start immediately.
This is a full-time position, working 10:00-18:00, Monday-Friday. This position pays £11.44 per hour and is located in the Swindon area.
Please note that in order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid Counterbalance License, along with dispatch experience and navigation of certain systems used such as Tharstern/DHL/DPD/TPN/DX etc.
You will be responsible for:
- Unloading and labelling of paper stocks as required.
- Understanding of sizes and grammages.
- Understanding of work in progress list for print and bindery.
- Understanding and recording types of consumables.
- The navigation of Tharstern/DHL/DPD/TPN/DX and other systems used in dispatch.
- Producing a daily despatch list.
- Communicating with the Production Team and CSE team.
- Booking transport as to customer requirements and booking and dealing with same day logistics.
- Following job bag instructions in regards to deliveries and requirements of pallet sizes/box weights etc.
- Deliver cost effectively - are there multiple jobs going to the same location.
- Booking in deliveries with 3rd parties - direct mail depots.
- Producing commercial invoices/declarations/custom terms for overseas goods.
- Understanding of DDP and DAP.
- Understanding PO and size of delivery.
- Producing labels from supplied Excel spreadsheets.
- Liaising with outworkers on delivery of outwork and collection of outwork.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
- Have a valid Counterbalance Forklift License, with relevant experience.
- Have dispatch experience.
- Will have experience in the navigation of certain systems used such as Tharstern/DHL/DPD/TPN/DX etc.
- Have a basic understanding of word and excel.
- Be able to work within a small team and will be confident working alone.
- Be flexible.
- Be a clear communicator.
