Job Description

Our client is recruiting for an Allocator/Distributor to join their Merchandising team based at our High Street Head Office, Swindon. The main purpose of the role is to allocate the right stock, to the right location, in a timely manner within agreed timescales/budget.

Key Responsibilities:
* Understand and use the correct Store and DC replenishment method
* Track and maintain SKU/store level availability
* Track and maintain promotional availability
* Track and maintain DC availability
* Liaise with the DC to understand the status of deliveries, check queries and request additional picking/waves
* Review forward line plans for orders and stock requirements
* Prepare and key orders on the system
* Collate and send orders for direct supplied products to our direct suppliers
* Respond to store related queries
* Compile ad hoc analysis

Essential Skills:
* Similar experience in a Logistics/ supply chain role would be highly beneficial, or experience of working in store retail
* Understanding of replenishment & allocation methods
* Good analytical skills
* Intermediate Excel
* Ability to identify trends, and consider the impact (eg.Cost/stock)
