Electrical biased Multi-skilled Engineer, permanent career opportunity for a qualified/time served engineer, with 5 years electrical engineering experience gained in reactive maintenance. Based in Lancashire, this position is offered on a rotating 12-hour day/night shift pattern with an annual salary of £46,700 plus excellent overtime rates and an attractive employee benefits scheme.

As an Electrical biased Multi-skilled Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate a solid understanding and the necessary experience of fault finding on 3-phase control circuits within a FMCG environment, plus the relevant knowledge and skills gained with PLC's (Siemens or Allen Bradley), and electrical control systems. Working as part of a wider engineering and production team requires excellent communication skills and the confidence to report, maintain and replace electrical parts and automated equipment.

Working in a fast-moving production site, this vacancy is best suited to a candidate who can demonstrate a proven track record in electrical maintenance, incorporating some mechanical engineering skills to ensure that the site and plant equipment is maintained to a continuous high production and safety standard. The overall objective is to maintain and enhance all machinery performance, optimising output whilst reducing engineering downtime. The need to respond quickly, identifying faults and providing remedial solutions is key to the success of this position.

As an Electrical biased Multi-skilled Engineer who will also undertake some project-based work, working with senior management, reporting any machine failures whilst managing the effective communication process between all parties during any breakdown/downtime.

This role does require you to conduct an element of training, ensuring that machine operators can perform all required functions and tasks, the ability to identify parts for refurbishment, obtain new parts via the supply chain and uphold all Health and Safety requirements in line with plant equipment and staff operation.

Naturally, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook for reporting and excellent internal communication skills when working with the wider management and maintenance teams.
