Electrical Field Service Engineer - UK wide

Electrical Field Service Engineer, working for a global power supply organisation offering a permanent career opportunity for an experienced and qualified electrical engineer who is ideally educated to Level 2/3 Electrical Engineering (or similar). With a local office in Swindon, this position will require wider UK travel, ensuring that UK wide service contracts are maintained for both planned electrical maintenance and reactive breakdown requirements. You will spend 50% of your time at the Swindon site, assisting with the repair and maintenance of UPS devices and batteries. You will be travelling to UK sites, performing electrical installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification of any faults found with critical power equipment.

You will be working a permanent day shift supplied with company van with all expenses paid including overnight stays. This position offers an annual salary of circa £45,000+ and a wide range of employee benefits. Ideally as an Electrical Field Service Engineer, fully experienced with three-phase voltage controls plus the ability to learn and take on board a range of power and voltage systems. Resolving issues at the work sites without interrupting the customer's business or daily activities and ensuring high standards are always maintained is a key requirement. As an Electrical Field Service Engineer, you will communicate with key contracts, the customer base plus other departments as needed, advising on sites current and future critical power requirements and safe use of equipment, ensuring all parts of the critical power system work to optimal performance.

You will need to work in a planned and methodical approach, ensuring that communication is maintained between the key contractors, the sites and premises and the local Swindon Logistics and Engineering team. Arranging diaries and schedules, ensuring that correct stock and equipment is ordered and supplied to each site, specific to the needs of the service or installation requirement. We are looking for a minimum of 3-5 years' employment experience gained in a similar electrical, power (UPS) working environment, with the ability to demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel.
