Electrical Maintenance Fitter newly offered permanent career opportunity for a qualified and experienced electrical fitter/tester based in Wiltshire. The primary role of the Electrical Maintenance Fitter will report to the Repairs and Maintenance Manager, responsible for conducting electrical inspections from arrange of machinery and plant equipment.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate at least 3 years spent in a similar role, maybe holding Degree Level Education in Electrical Engineering or an apprentice trained engineer who is now looking for the next step.
Working Monday to Friday, the role of Electrical Maintenance Fitter is both varied and challenging, allowing you room to progress whilst using your proven electrical maintenance skills. Maintaining the serviceability and management of power management equipment, used in the MOD and Central Government bodies requires work of an exceptionally high standard. To provide routine electrical testing, corrective maintenance, diagnostics fault finding and all modifications. You will have previous electrical maintenance experience gained on testing and fault finding, with the ability to use a range of tools and electrical testing equipment.
Responsible for producing survey reports, completing a vast array of equipment remedial and replacement works, whilst adhering to stringent on-site Health and Safety rules and regulations. Your natural problem-solving skills will be further developed and encouraged, aiming to spot initial concernsbefore becoming major issues, able to act on initiative and take responsibility for producing high standards of electrical maintenance skill and knowledge. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to liaise with key stakeholders, whilst offering training and mentoring to new apprentices.
As Electrical Maintenance Fitter, you will possess excellent working knowledge of MS Office, with the ability to produce reports against all works carried out, working closely with other engineers as and when the business requires.
