Thrive Group are recruiting for a Finishing Assistant on a temporary basis with a view to start immediately.
This position is located in Neath.
This is a full-time position, working 06:00 to 14:00, Monday to Thursday and 06:00-11:00, Friday. Then 14:00-22:00, Monday to Thursday and 11:30 to 17:00, Friday *Weekly Rotational*, paying £11.44 per hour and rising to £13.70 per hour after 12 weeks.
Responsibilities of the role includes;
- Working on a gluing line, feeding board into a machine and placing cartons into a corrugated box ready to go into the warehouse
- To assist the operators in the operating of Bobst Media, Vega & Adpak machinery. By interpreting and applying job bag information achieve production standards through maximum efficiency levels on, quality, production performance, waste and packing.
- To train as multi skilled factory assistant in the finishing department.
- To operate in a flexible manner including manning applications across a variety of finishing machinery, feeding and packing operations.
- To work as an integral part of the crew.
- To raise the profile and standards of health & safety and hygiene management in production areas and to ensure compliance in all area of responsibility.
- Completion of adhoc activities as and when required.
The successful candidate will:
- Experience in working within a production/ manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the operating of Bobst Media, Vega & Adpak machinery.
- Will be forward planning.
- Will be an effective communicator.
- Will have a proactive approach to workload.
