Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Shepton Mallet who are actively looking to recruit a Food Development Technician to join the team.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the NPD Manager, along with the support of a strong technical team. You will be responsible for:
- Developing, testing, and optimising products and processes to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.
- Responsible for Concept and recipe development of New and Existing products.
- Leading projects to showcase products and support customer briefs.
- You will work closely with marketing and commercial teams to develop recipes and prepare samples for customer presentations
- Trailing different ingredients in customer recipes.
What you will need to succeed:
- HACCP qualified or equivalent
- Food Science or Technology degree and/or relevant experience in development or technical skills in a chilled or liquid processing manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality policies, procedures, and work instructions to produce safe, legal, and authentic products to a specified quality.
What you will receive in return:
- £35,000 - £38,000 a year
- Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, equating to 37.5 hours per week. (flex to cover product launches)
- 33 days holiday per annum (including Bank Holidays).
