Logistics & Quality Manager required for global manufacturer of electro-mechanical devices based in Wiltshire. This is a permanent full-time position, Monday - Friday, day shift, offering an annual salary of £36.000 plus a range of exceptional employee benefits to include enhanced pension contributions, extended holiday entitlements plus health and life insurance benefits.

Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of a small but busy warehouse operation, your duties will include management of the QMS function and full ISO 9001 quality operations. Health & Safety forms part of your remit including staff training and supervision on all warehouse operations. We are seeking a candidate with at least 3 years previous logistics and warehouse experience, someone who can demonstrate a solid understanding of shipping and export documentation, including HM Revenue & Customs compliance.

As Logistics & Quality Manager you are responsible for the movement of goods in and goods out, producing monthly reports on time lines and cost, managing relations with courier services including air and sea freight for the UK and Europe. Working alongside the sales and engineering teams you are required to communicate the movement of stock and maintain open communication across all channels in the business.

In line with Health & Safety regulations you will perform and review risk assessments and ensure safe system working throughout the warehouse, ideally with an IOSH qualification. You will train warehouse staff and have full involvement in staff appraisals, disciplinaries, the hiring of new staff and career development. If you have an FLT license and have operated counterbalance or reach this would be beneficial to the business. The position of Logistics & Quality Manager may well attract a candidate who has studied logistics and/or warehouse management as a professional qualification.
