Maintenance Engineer

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our company based in Shepton Mallet who are actively looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

Responsible for running, introducing, and maintaining equipment together with the development of continuous improvement to deliver improvements across the factory.

  • Delivery of maintenance activities as derived from a maintenance system (SAP).
  • Support the role out of best practice maintenance management using TPM/RCM across the manufacturing lines.
  • Support best practice and continuous improvement techniques across the business such as Kaizen, to deliver rapid improvement events.
  • Support the training and development of operators in first line maintenance and problem-solving accordance with SOP's and areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure adherence to company Health and Safety policy and relevant legislation.
  • Able to play a key role in the continually improvement of the factory, equipment and maintenance.
  • Familiar with planned and preventative maintenance systems.

What you will need to succeed:

  • To have followed and completed and Engineering Apprenticeship or Engineering qualifications.
  • preferably to HNC/HND level, Electrical awareness qualification (18th edition is preferable).
  • Previous experience working in a similar environment in a similar role.
  • A good working knowledge and understanding of factory processes and technology.

What you will receive in return:

  • Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 2days/2 nights - 42hrs per week
  • Salary £48,000 + Benefits
