Packing Engineer

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our company based in Frome who are actively looking to recruit a Packing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Lead packing engineer, you will be working Pittman rotating 12-hour shifts within our retail production facility:

  • Attend machine breakdowns efficiently and provide effective measures to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Carry out PPM, corrective and improvement actions on all packing machines.
  • Deliver and develop effective re-active maintenance, repairs & improvements.
  • Generate and complete work orders on the CMMS.
  • Help develop and implement effective PM schedules.
  • Support and achieve the engineering KPI's.

What you will need to succeed

  • Multi-skilled automation skills on packing equipment or equivalent
  • Excellent fault finding and route cause analysis skills.
  • Experience of working in a FMCG environment
  • Some supervisory experience would be beneficial.
  • Comfortable in autonomous decision making and team working.
