Production Operative
Location: Swindon
Pay Rate: £15.37 per hour
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Friday: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Thrive Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy and well-established manufacturing environment. This role involves operating specialist laser machinery and ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate laser cutting equipment in accordance with production requirements
Conduct quality checks and ensure all products meet company standards
Record and report any waste or non-compliance issues accurately
Scan all work onto the internal system in real time to support production tracking
Follow health and safety procedures at all times, including use of PPE
Perform basic machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and liaising with technical teams as needed
Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
Maintain accurate logs of equipment maintenance and materials usage
Keep the work environment clean, organised, and safe
Ensure correct materials and packaging are used for each production batch
Participate in regular stock takes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
What We're Looking For:
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Familiarity with machinery operation is desirable (training will be provided)
High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A proactive and safety-conscious mindset
