Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our client in Trowbridge who are actively seeking to engage a Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

As Purchasing Assistant, you will take responsibility for a range of purchasing duties and associated administration :

  • Providing support to the purchasing department including managing and developing relationships with suppliers
  • Analysing and reporting on supplier performance
  • Assisting with the planning and purchasing of raw materials
  • Ensuring the delivery of finished goods
  • Providing a high level of customer service to external and internal customers to develop positive working relationships
  • Administrative assistance to the department including pricing queries and invoice checking

What you will need to succeed:

  • An organised and self-motivated approach, with good organisational and numeracy skills
  • Previous experience in or a genuine interest in purchasing
  • Commercial acumen and a confident communicator
  • Excellent IT skills including word and excel
  • Experience within manufacturing/distribution beneficial

What you will receive in return :
