Purchasing Assistant

Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Westbury, who are actively looking to employ a Purchasing Assistant on a permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, and liaising with internal departments. You will be responsible for Raise Purchase Orders for raw material and related products based on supplier lead times.

  • Cross reference PO's with Order confirmations. (Price, delivery date, product etc.)
  • Contact with suppliers to improve delivery dates to meet production requirements
  • Book in deliveries with warehouse
  • Monitor stock levels on site and at Suppliers site
  • Stock counting of raw material /accessories in Production

What you will need to succeed:

  • Excellent communication skills and highly organised.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be highly desirable.
  • Good IT skills MS office and Manufacturing control systems.
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced work environment.

What you will receive in return:

  • £25,000 per annum
  • Monday to Thursday 09.00AM to 16.30, Friday 09.00AM to 16.00PM - 34.30 hours per week.
  • 25 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays
