Qualified Finance Manager

Job Description

Finance Manager required for a global aerospace manufacturing client based in Swindon. This is a permanent post, working full time hours with an annual salary up to £43,000 plus 25 days holiday, contributory pension scheme and a range of additional employment perks. Ideally educated to AAT Accounting Level (or similar), your career to-date should exceed 5 years with previous employment gained within manufacturing or production sectors.

The role of Finance Manager reports into Main Board and you are responsible for the direct management of an experienced accounts assistant. This is a busy and challenging role, one which requires plenty of diplomacy and articulation when managing key supplier accounts, the production of monthly reports for final review, the preparation of annual budgets and the investigation of unexpected variances will form some of your key objectives.

You will be responsible for the management, preparation and submission of VAT returns, performing key reconciliations, producing journals for accruals, prepayments and overhead apportionment's. Ideally, we are hoping to source a Finance Manager with advanced working knowledge of implementing SAP in a previous role, having the experience and patience to train others in SAP, therefore ensuring that the system is understood and runs smoothly in line with the wider business.

Due to nature of the business, the majority of client orders are extremely sensitive, are of high financial value, therefore you will need to ensure that all accounts and payments are managed precisely, especially as the client base expects 100% return on goods produced and the accuracy of bills and invoices. From time to time you will need to work with and visit those who manage the manufacturing facility, understanding the business, the clients and how critical, correct accounting plays a part in the much wider business cycle.
