Quality Engineer

Job Description

Quality Engineer, permanent career opportunity for a time-served mechanical engineer who may have secured a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, someone who can demonstrate a robust track record in high precision, high value manufacturing, with the ability assess levels of manufacturing for the subcontract sector, based in Wiltshire. This is a full-time position, working a day shift with some attractive employee benefits and an annual salary up to £40,000.

With a minimum of 3 years mechanical engineering skills gained within a quality role, this position is is based within a machining background with knowledge of CNC Machining. CMM knowledge maybe working in the Defence, F1, or Aerospace sector. You will 'lead from the front' in all quality engineering operations, able to inspect, review and draw upon your career history to enable accurate and proactive training of others in a wider quality team environment.

As Quality Engineer, you will have a thorough understanding and the relevant knowledge of AS/EN9100 quality standards, able to prepare for major audits and necessary quality inspections. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with key customers, taking time to understand their individual requirements, ensuring that and technical drawings and engineering specifications match, again working closely with a range of global suppliers to ensure correct level of product supply and service delivery.

As Quality Engineer, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to motivate, train and coach and produce reports for senior management are further skill sets required, therefore advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel) are key.
