Internal Sales Executive

Thrive Shepton are delighted to be working with our new client based in Wincanton, who are looking for a Internal Sales Executive. You will be joining an impressive company with 20 years of success.

As a Internal Sales Executive you will be responsible for driving the business growth and managing the existing customers. Ideally you will have previous experience in sales and new business development.

General Duties:

  • Remain in contact with customers after making a sale to strengthen relationships and make further sales.
  • Upselling products and services
  • Support the marketing & sales teams
  • Quotes, sales orders and invoices
  • Liaise with the warehouse to ensure the order process to despatch runs quickly and smoothly
  • Answering customer queries, resolving their concerns and providing additional information via, calls, emails or post
  • Explaining and demonstrating the functions and features of products and service.
  • Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers.
  • Must be able to follow instructions/processes
  • Maintain and update internal computer systems
  • Manage courier companies' performance and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage returns/damages
  • Explaining and demonstrating the functions and features of products and service
  • Build and improve customer relations
  • Keeping up to date with product and service information and competitor offers.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to customer enquiries.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 0830-1700 - 30 minutes lunch break

Knowledge/ Experience & You:

  • Ideally will have 1 year sales experience or account management
  • Must have an enthusiasm/passion to support sales development
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Experience working with telephones & handling multiple calls & emails.
  • Time Management
  • Excellent numeracy skills for accurate and speedy calculation of sales prices, discounts & percentages
  • Excellent Communication skills and active listening skills
  • Organised and driven to succeed
  • Desirably have knowledge of Sage
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
