Thrive Shepton are delighted to be working with our new client based in Wincanton, who are looking for a Sales Manager. You will be joining an impressive company with 20 years of success.

As a Sales Manager you will be responsible for managing and developing a sales team, co-ordinating sales operations. You will work with high-profile customers, evaluate budgets and determine ways to simplify, maintain and improve the sales process. Implementing techniques that allow the business to meet and surpass its sales targets on a continual basis.

General Duties:

  • Ensures the running of a smooth and excellent sales office providing excellent customer service both internally and externally. Managing staff within the internal sales office.
  • Provide management with key information regarding the sales office performance, daily, weekly & monthly.
  • Attending and representing the company at trade shows as required (2-3 times per annum).
  • Create and report KPI's.
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives working with the marketing team and management.
  • Evaluate and review practices and activity, to increase sales and give the customers the best experience.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that expand the customer base
  • Support and collaborate with Operations Manager on courier & haulage activity. Ensuring customer expectations are exceeded and all claims are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Manage client accounts and build strong and long-lasting relationships.
  • Manage & maintain departmental procedures.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 0830-1700 - 30 minutes lunch break

Knowledge/ Experience & You:

  • At least 2 Years previous experience running a sales office
  • Proven experience of organising and managing staff
  • Must have an enthusiasm/passion to support sales development
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Desirably have knowledge of Sage
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Enthusiast, pro-active individual
  • Excellent Organisation & time management skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
